- Pismo Beach Turkey Trot Bike Week -

 

The "Pismo Beach Turkey Trot Bike Week" has been added to the Channel Islands activity calendar for November 27-30 of 2023. Come join us for all four days or just one of two days. Understand that most of these routes are not terribly difficult. But you need to be in very good biking shape to successfully complete all routes posted. Participants MUST register on the CIBike Webpage beginning November 1st and ends on November 24th. Check back on this webpage for updated details.

See the suggested Pismo Beach Turkey Trot bike routes in "Ride w/GPS" form. PLEASE download to your iPhone, Garmin, Wahoo or Element devices for turn-by-turn directions. This is NOT a "I will just follow the group" ride. You MUST have the routes loaded in case you get separated from the group. Routes updated as of Thursday, Nov. 17. 

Monday, November 27th, 9am:

Route 1- 45 Miler/Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Husana Township

Route 2- 38 Miler/Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Husana.

Tuesday, November 28th, 9am:

Route 1- 62 Miler/Lake Lopez, Edna Valley, Avila Beach.

Route 2- 50 Miler/Lake Lopez, Edna Valley.

Route 3- 38 Miler/Lake Lopez, Arroyo Grande O&B.

Wednesday, November 29th, 9am:

Route 1- 62 Miler/Morro Bay, Montana de Oro State Park.

Route 2- 50 Miler/Morro Bay

Route 3- 40 Miler/Los Oso, Baywood O&B.

Thursday, November 30th, 9am:

Route 1- 31 Miler/Avila Beach, Edna Valley

View the many options for lodging in the Pismo Beach area. 

• Vespera Resort by Marriott- upscale resort overlooking the pier and ocean. 
• Oxford Inn & Suites- includes FREE hot breakfast & FREE Happy Hour.
• Sea Ventura Hotel- overlooking the beach, closest to ride start location.
• Inn at the Pier by Hilton- overlooking the pier with onsite restaurant.
• Sand Castle Hotel-  overlooking the beach, close to ride start.
• Pismo Coast Village RV Resort- an RV campground a block from the ride start location.
• Motel 6- right in town, they will leave the light on.
• Shore Cliff Hotel- just a little west of downtown Pismo Beach, views of ocean. 
• Pismo Beach State Park Campground- near the Monarch Butterfly Grove.

There are so many accommodations in the Pismo Beach area. Also try Shell Beach, Oceano and Arroyo Grande.

- Start Location for Turkey Trot Bike Week -

 

Every bike route for this year's Pismo Beach Turkey Trot Bike Week will begin at the Mary Herrington Park at 201 Dolliver Street in Pismo Beach. There is FREE parking, restrooms and water. Most participants will probably ride from their hotel to the ride start location.
